Another pain that the epidural can't handle but it's the call to push for the birth of a baby

The effect of the epidural kicked in 10 to 15 minutes after it was applied, and I immediately fell asleep after suffering from almost 10 hours of contraction pain.
It took me another 4 to 5 hours till the cervix was fully opened, during this period I believe I had two additional doses of epidural.
I thought this painless condition would continue till the birth of the baby. However, I was wrong. I started to feel another pain that was getting more intense every time, it was a feeling of wanting to go to the bathroom.
This feeling got stronger along with the contraction as the baby moved downward, it pressed the anus strongly like a huge poop gonna come out. But, it isn't poop, it is the baby's head trying to get through the birth canal and the anus also gets the pushes.

Therefore, the epidural makes the “front pain” of uterus contractions disappear but the “back pain” of anus pressing goes on. As this pain syn with the uterus contraction, it serves as a call to push the baby out.
When it started to come, I breathed in deeply, held my breath, and used my upper abdominal muscles to push the baby then released my breath. One cycle lasts about tens of seconds.
I took this pain as a starting gun and pushed along with it. Luckily I gave birth to my baby within 10 minutes of entering the delivery room. My Ob and I were so proud that we did it so quickly as I was a first-time mommy.
Just go with the nature calls, everything gonna be smooth and easy!
